People seem to see the negative but they never opened the door to the positivity of love. Love is so beautiful but when it is neglected it is unseen.

Over the last 5 months, I have had the honor of listening and exploring the life of Lois Curtis while supporting Citizen Advocate, Grover Hogan. Grover has been in a Citizen Advocacy relationship with Lois Curtis since 2009. Together they experienced celebrations, triumphs, and excitement, but since 2017 it seemed that everything had slipped away.

Last September Citizen Advocacy was informed by Atlanta Legal Aid (ALA) of a young woman from the westside of Atlanta, who they had been serving. Janie had experienced many traumas and built up many wounds in her young life, and was in the midst of the greatest threat to her safety and future.

Russell Spornberger and Bill Jackson found each other as friends eight years ago. Though they lived in the same area of Atlanta and had similar interests, it took an advocacy nonprofit to bring them together.
